Meet Karla
Karla grew up in Memphis helping people with their problems even as a little kid. Karla enjoys helping people make positive changes in their lives. She studied business at Fisk University. She went into sales but as a sales supervisor she soon found herself helping her employees with their personal challenges again. She then decided to go back to school to get a second degree in counseling. Karla loves to work with young people like you. Karla's clients say that she is caring, funny, and easy to talk to. She likes being creative in sessions including using songs or poetry to process feelings and emotions.
How She Can Help
Karla has helped a lot of kids and teenagers through challenging times in their lives including parents divorcing, difficulty getting along with siblings, test anxiety, and the loss of loved ones. Karla loves working with young people to develop their self-esteem and confidence to present their best selves to the world and be as successful as possible. She has special training in dealing with trauma. She also enjoys teaching young people coping skills to deal with grief, anxiety, anger, or depression. Karla is very excited about being there to support you in any way you need.
In Her Free Time
For fun, Karla enjoys going to the movies, going out to eat with friends and family and spending time singing at church and in the community. She also models and writes. She published à journal called "Learning to Love Me". Spending time hosting her TV show on Xfinity Channel 17 called "Couch Convo With Coach Karla" is one of Karla's greatest joys.
