Meet Katheryn
Katheryn McLendon, licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), is a seasoned therapist with extensive experience with children and teens. Katheryn owns the group practice Hope Evergreen LLC in Germantown, Tennessee, and previously served as the clinical director at Daybreak Treatment Center. Katheryn has been coined "the teenage whisper" and connects well with adolescents who enjoy artistic expression.
How She Can Help
Katheryn is trained in EMDR, which is a type of therapy that helps youth who have experienced trauma; DBT-informed which teaches people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others. She is also play therapy trained. Katheryn combines expressive therapies such as sand tray therapy and art therapy along with more traditional talk therapy approaches to help young people struggling with depression, anxiety, self-harm, and disordered eating. Katheryn always uses a trauma-informed approach with her clients and enjoys working with people from all different walks of life.
In Her Free Time
Katheryn loves to swim, sing, and go to concerts. She also loves to play with her dog, Ginny, who is also a therapy dog! Ginny loves to help youth when in a counseling session, but Ginny can also be put in her kennel if you don’t want her in your session.
