Nikeisha Royston
Meet Nikeisha
Nikeisha grew up in Memphis. Right here in some of the same streets and areas as some of you. She is now a licensed professional who worked really hard and braved many obstacles to be in this space.
Despite the challenges that come along with being a teen mother, she attended college at THE University of Memphis (GO TIGERS!!!) and holds several degrees. She knew at an early age that she wanted to be a social worker after seeing how they helped make her life better and she wanted to do the same for others. She desires to help improve the quality of life for children and families in her city.
How Nikeisha Can Help
Nikeisha’s goal is to provide a safe space for you to be yourself and feel heard. A space where you can let your guard down and take off the masks that we all wear every day. A space where you can drop the baggage, rest, and recharge.
Nikeisha enjoys working with youth with real-life problems looking for real ways to manage the stress of daily life. Struggles like being bullied, making hard choices, stress from school, peer pressure, and most of all surviving the streets of Memphis. Whewwwww…
Nikeisha knows that you are looking for realistic solutions to help you cope. She also knows that you can help fix your problems given the right tools...after all who knows you better than you?
In Her Free Time
What free time? Lol
Nikeisha believes in using the same skills that she teaches. Self-care is amongst her most used skill which looks like resting and relaxation to add balance to her life. In addition to self-care, she takes full advantage of being off work as she enjoys traveling, reading (favorite book – Longest Winter Ever, check it out), and walks in nature. She absolutely loves being outdoors…Because Nikeisha loves nature and landscapes (but nature doesn’t love me lol), she can often be found enjoying a sunset by the mighty Mississippi River. Nature is a healing tool. Trust me ….I don’t Bluff!
