Youth Connect
Youth Connect: Free Mental Health Support for Shelby County Young People
Are you between 13 and 18 years old and live in Shelby County? Then you should know about Youth Connect! It’s a mental health program just for you.
Youth Connect started because our community saw that teens needed more mental health support. So, the Shelby County Youth & Family Resource Center teamed up with The Braid Foundation to make sure you can get the help you need, free of charge.
Here's What's Cool About Youth Connect:
Easy Access to Counseling: We know it can be tough to find a counselor at school or in the community. That’s why we’re making it super easy for you to get the support you need.
A Network Just for You: We’re building a network that helps you and your family find and access counseling easily.
Therapists Who Get It: We have a special group of therapists who understand what it’s like to be a teen today. They’re not just skilled; they’re also friendly and respectful of who you are.
You Get to Choose: We listened to you, and we know you want to pick your therapist. So, we made that happen!
Mental Health Education: We’re committed to teaching everyone how to handle their mental health. We’ll give you and the groups that support you the tools and knowledge to stay happy and healthy.
Our Goal: We want every young person in Shelby County to have the support they need to be their best selves.
